my story

Hi, I’m Lexi, the creative behind Nari’s Nails.

My journey into nails began when I was a student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. What began as a way to save money quickly grew into a creative obsession and outlet.

After graduating from college, I decided to take my hobby a little more seriously and attended the Honolulu Nail Academy. Upon completing the program, I obtained my nail technician license.

From that point on, my love for nails and nail art only grew, and I was inspired to pursue a press-on nail venture.

Thank you for supporting my art, my journey, and my small business. I can’t wait to create something just for you.

What inspires me

Many designs that I find myself to be inspired by are done by Asian nail artists. My love for the specific art style started because my grandmother used to gift me Japanese nail art magazines whenever she flew back to Okinawa. The designs that really caught my eye were those that had lots of gems and detailed artwork. That is why I strive to create unique custom 3d and hand-painted designs with a focus on quality, detail, and personalization.

who is nari?

Nari (成) is my middle/Japanese name, given to me by my grandmother. To me, it seemed only natural to use this name because I am so strongly influenced by my Okinawan/Japanese heritage, and I want my brand and nail art style to reflect that.
